Favicon Generator

Turn a logo or icon into a full favicon PNG pack in your browser - no account and no upload.

About Favicon Generator

Turn a logo or icon into a full favicon PNG pack in your browser - no account and no upload. One image becomes 16, 32, 48, 180 (Apple touch), 192, and 512 px PNGs, with optional ZIP download and ready-to-paste HTML link tags. Canvas resizing stays on this device, so brand marks never leave your machine. Pair it with the Image Compressor when the source is huge, or the Open Graph Tag Generator when you also need social preview tags.

How to Use Favicon Generator

  1. Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, or SVG (max 8 MB) or paste an image. The file is read locally - nothing is uploaded.
  2. Wait for the six PNG previews: 16, 32, 48, apple-touch 180, Android 192, and 512. Non-square sources are fit with transparent padding.
  3. Download any single PNG, or download the ZIP pack (includes a text file with HTML link tags).
  4. Copy the HTML snippet into your document head and place the PNG files at the matching paths (usually the site root).
  5. Confirm in DevTools Network that generating does not create a request.

Favicon Generator Examples

Square logo for a new site

Drop a 1024 px PNG logo. Download the ZIP, unzip into /public, and paste the HTML link tags into your root layout head.

Wide wordmark with padding

A landscape wordmark is centered inside each square with transparent margins so browser tabs do not crop the text awkwardly.

Apple touch icon only

Generate the pack, then download only apple-touch-icon.png (180x180) if you already have other sizes and only need iOS home-screen icons.

PWA icons for Chrome

Use android-chrome-192x192.png and android-chrome-512x512.png in your web app manifest icons array after downloading the ZIP.

Compress first, then favicon

If the source is a multi-megabyte photo of a logo, run Image Compressor first, download a smaller PNG, then open Favicon Generator.

Common Use Cases

  • Ship a complete favicon set for a new Next.js or static site
  • Create Apple touch icons for iOS home-screen bookmarks
  • Produce Android Chrome / PWA icon sizes from one logo
  • Refresh brand icons without an upload-based design tool
  • Copy HTML link tags alongside the PNG pack

Frequently Asked Questions about Favicon Generator

How do I create favicons from a logo?
Drop or paste your logo, wait for the six PNG sizes, then download one file or the ZIP pack. Everything runs in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
Which sizes are included?
The pack includes 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 180x180 (apple-touch-icon.png), 192x192, and 512x512 PNGs - the common browser tab, Windows, iOS, and Android sizes.
What if my logo is not square?
The generator fits the image inside each square (object-fit contain) and keeps transparent padding. For a full-bleed icon look, crop your logo to a square before uploading.
Does the ZIP include HTML?
Yes. The ZIP adds a small text file with link tags you can paste into your document head. You can also copy the same snippet from the page without downloading.
Can I use SVG as a favicon?
You can upload SVG as the source when the browser can decode it. Output is always PNG sizes for broad tab and home-screen support. Keep a separate SVG favicon in your project if you want vector tabs in supporting browsers.
Is my logo uploaded to a server?
No. FileReader, Canvas, and ZIP building run only in this tab. Safe for unreleased brand marks. Verify in DevTools Network while you generate.
