ToolsMinify ("we", "us", or "our") provides free online tools at toolsminify.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
What data we collect
Tool usage data (not stored server-side)
The vast majority of our tools - text counters, calculators, generators, and converters - process your input entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or log any text, numbers, or files you enter into our tools.
Analytics data
We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including: pages visited, time spent on pages, approximate geographic region (country/city level), device type, and browser. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard server access data including IP addresses, request timestamps, and URLs accessed. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring and are retained according to Vercel's data retention policies.
Cookies and local storage
ToolsMinify uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember:
- Your color theme preference (light/dark)
- Recently visited tools
- Bookmarked tools
This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data in your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
Third-party services we may use - including Google Analytics and Google AdSense - can set their own cookies in your browser. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before these cookies are set and use Google Consent Mode to honor your choice. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Advertising
ToolsMinify may display advertisements served by Google AdSense when ad serving is enabled. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to show personalized ads based on your interests and browsing history across the web. To opt out of personalized ads, visit Google's Ad Settings. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers directly.
Third-party services
We may use the following third-party services:
- Vercel - website hosting and CDN
- Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics (when enabled)
- Google AdSense - advertising (when enabled)
Each service processes data under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their data handling practices.
Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other regions with applicable privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we do not store personal data from tool usage, there is typically no personal data to access or delete beyond analytics data. ToolsMinify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
